In 2014, I started a Masters in Chiropractic Education at University of South Wales whilst working at the same time as bank staff nursing at North Bristol National Health Service Trust (Southmead) since August 2015. Neurology Ward is my favourite where I looked after patients with different neurological disorders and witnessed first-hand the patients’ experiences with the conventional treatment approach and this has made me first ask the question: is there a non-surgical option for them?
My interest with Chiropractic medicine flourished when I saw an elderly lady who suffered Parkinson’s Disease for 10 years and been looked after by a Chiropractor. At first thought it was of ageing process. I would not have thought of a serious pathological disorder in the brain until she was struggling to coordinate herself from left to right. Coordination matters especially in ageing population as it involves balance and overall confidence, and conventionally we blame ageing when it can be optimised by having a healthy spine.
I registered with General Chiropractic Council last 2018, a member of Scottish Chiropractic Association and recently obtained Licentiate status of Royal College of Chiropractic. I’m keeping myself abreast on research and my own research was presented in Hungary through European Chiropractic Union last July 2018.
